One Time on The Arctic Ocean in February
One Time on The Arctic Ocean in February
Untouched
vast frozen vista purity
spreads its darkness
embracing awed perception.
Minus fifty freshness
prickles my nose
enticing warmer air to my lungs,
building crystals on my hair.
Deliberately, deeply breathing
crisp aromas of the Arctic,
standing alone on ocean silence
shore miles behind
humble.
Down on one knee
fist slamming on heart
head thrown back
scream gratitude.
A solitary place on earth
is peaceful this moment.
Stars twinkling code,
hope.
Moon in crescent smiles,
homage.
– Palyati Fouse.
