Longing at Palm Cove

Longing at Palm Cove

Waves caress the shore
With gentle occurrence
As You once did my forehead.

Palm trees sway in the breeze
To silent lullabies
As You once did my fragile flame.

The sun radiates its gentle warmth
On my body
As once did Your tender bosom.

O my Beauteous Mother,
Will You not dry my tears
And frequent me as of old?

I was young and unwise
Little did I know the ease
Of falling from Your Grace.
