Sometimes Light

Sometimes Light

You are my sun,
My moon and all my stars:
Sometimes a simple smile
Can fill my life with light.

Sometimes the breeze
Plays melodies with leaves of trees;
Sometimes birds
Chant and chirp
In rhythms that remind me
Of Your love,
That flows through all that grows and dies.

Sometimes light
Comes like fairies,
Scattering wishes like little flowers
Upon the path we walk.

Sometimes light
Comes like darkness
That coils us
When day is done
And leaves the heart
(Like a ruby)
To lose itself
In rays of sunset or dawn.
