A Poem from Joan’s Garden

A Poem from Joan’s Garden

How startled I was by the tulips –
Layers of exuberant petals
Bending low
Bowing low
Lifting our meditation with a crimson song.
My heart careened into ecstatic melody
And my mind into smiling smiles –
A divine vision
Ingeniously supported by
A determined role of tape.
