I take off my shoes
And feel the earth
In the embrace of summer
The sun cooks my life
And roasts my head
With the arrival of fall
I observe the decay
Under the watch of a cool moon
In the dark days of winter
I see the eternal cycle
Of death in life
And how winter pays for summer
