Autumn

Autumn

I would not dwell in Eden for all its
perpetuity to be without this season
unseen in Eternity and never hear
the song of leaves that have danced
and played in the winds of our world
since trees in time began though
we know what Autumn holds: bud
on bough must grow to fade and
verdant green through falling gold
under early frost be laid

– Pavitrata Taylor.
